Super proud of myself, with my #CRPS I am held back from doing the things I love, and anyone who knows me, knows cooking brings me so much joy. I was beyond to make a meal for Nate's family, practicum on my own (Nate was there as extra hands every no and then, mainly for cleanup duty 😋 and dancing in the kitchen when the right song came on ❤💃🕺 It may sound silly, but being able to just spend time in the kitchen with the love of my life, dancing and being silly despite all of the pain, is such a #blessing ir proves to me that I can get through this and I AM A #WARRIOR in might not have won all my battles yet, but the war with my is far from over, I'm gonna continue to be one hell of a #crpsfighter
I made #posole from absolute scratch. Until this point my mom has always made and given me any #redchile sauce to make posole with I've used and due to the ingredients available, for the first time in my own I rehydrated red chile pods, made my own red chile #sauce today, prior to this slow cooking a #porkshoulder for 48hours! In addition I made refried beans from scratch, no cans or dehydrated beans will be made on my watch 😉 and Spanish rice. I think I've done my Mom, Nana, and uncle Joe #proud because I was craving their posole, but had to settle for mine, but not to toot my own horn but, it tasted #delicious and made me feel like home, even if just for a little bit.
